Louise Grundy BA(Hons) Dip2.OSH, MIIRSM, AIEMA, CertIOSH

Director / Principal Health, Safety & Environmental Consultant & Trainer

At 45 years old i started my Health and Safety career at a young age.  Following a workplace accident at the age of 19, I was no longer able to follow my desired career within the Hospitality Industry. It was from that point I established an interest within Health & Safety. Having already obtained a BA (Hons) degree in International Hospitality Management I began to complete a number of Health & Safety training courses in my own time. There, I successfully completed my NEBOSH qualifications. I am fully qualified to NEBOSH National General Certificate and Diploma Part 1 & Part 2 with many other health  and safety courses and qualifications completed since, including (but not limited to) P405 Management of Asbestos within Buildings, CDM Co-ordination, NEBOSH International Oil and Gas operational safety Certificate, Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), Training Skills & Practice, NEBOSH Management of Health & Wellbeing.

I have worked within a variety of industries gathering a wealth of knowledge and experience: Hospitality, Office, Health Services, Retail Establishments, Facilities Management and Property Outsourcing, Warehouse & Logistics, Engineering (sheet metal fabrication), Environmental & Waste Management (including Biomass power), Construction on site and corporate) : Road & Water Infrastructure, New House & Commercial Builds, Fit out and Refurbishments,  Gas Transmission & High Voltage Sites.

I am also a NEBOSH approved trainer, able to deliver the following courses: National/International General Certificate, International / National Construction Certificate, National / International Diploma. In addition I am also approved to deliver CITB Site Safety Plus (SMSTS, SSSTS, H&S Awareness) IOSH courses Working Safely and Managing Safely, & other bespoke courses.

Throughout my career I have been based in customer facing roles within service industries. I am very much a people person and I find this key experience benefits my communication skills immensely, enabling me to pitch Health and Safety delivery at the correct level for target audiences from director to administrative level. I have varied experience within the management of health & safety at operational & strategic levels and also in the development & delivery of various health & safety training courses for in house and commercially delivery

As for hobbies,  i love watching Formula 1 and football. I also like shopping, travelling and catching up with friends
